1.2 Introduction to Play-Well TEKnologies

Our goals as a company are to:

  • Introduce children to STEM concepts.
  • Teach kids how to find their answers through problem-solving, without feeding the solutions to them.
  • Foster a greater appreciation of how things work.
  • Create a fun, unique atmosphere where children can learn through creative expression.
  • Offer a safe, comfortable environment where students can build projects, gain confidence, and where self-reliance is initiated.
  • Provide a supportive space for kids to explore failure in order to find success.

We do this in the context of fun-filled engineering and architectural projects — activities that both the children and the instructors enjoy! The equation we believe in and foster in our students is:

(Failure + Hard Work) x Perseverance = Success

What We Do – About Play-Well Programs

All of our programs are grounded in STEM concepts. We offer a variety of programs for students in grades K-6 to explore STEM concepts in different ways.

The three main genres we offer programs in are: engineering, robotics, and gaming. Each of these genres include core programs and themed programs.

  • Core programs are broad in scope and draw upon the greatest variety of possible projects.
  • Themed programs explore imaginative worlds that kids already know and love, such as Star Wars, Minecraft, Pokemon, or Ninjago.

The majority of the programs we offer are Core Engineering: Intro to STEM (ages 5-6) and STEM Challenge (ages 7-12).

It is our expectation that returning students have a unique experience with new building challenges, fresh scenarios, stories and concepts.
