3.2 Recruitment

We know that we are only as good as our employees, so we search as widely as possible for talented and motivated individuals to fill vacant positions in Play-Well. Our recruitment methods include advertising and referrals. Although these methods have served us well in the past, we know that the marketplace is ever changing and that finding high quality people is an evolving process. We encourage our employees to share with us their ideas about what more we can do to find, and recruit talented and motivated individuals.

We conduct all recruiting in a fair and non-discriminatory manner. In addition to looking outside Play-Well TEKnologies for new hires, we also look to promote from within. After all, we already know the values and qualities of our current employees. If you learn of a posting for a job that interests you, we encourage you to apply for it by following our internal application process. We also encourage you to inform your supervisor if you would like to move to a location in which we may or may not have current operations.

Employee Referral Program

As a Play-Well employee, we know that you are our best resource! If you know of someone who will be looking for a great job and is qualified to be a Play-Well instructor, share our Jobs Page where they can apply, and ask them to list you as the referring employee.

You can earn a $100 referral award if you meet the eligibility requirements below:

1. All current Play-Well employees are eligible for the referral reward, except for Vice Presidents, Human Resources personnel, and managers with hiring and/or supervisory authority (direct and indirect) over the referred candidates.

2. The referral must represent the candidate's first contact with Play-Well. Temporary, seasonal, contract and former employees of Play-Well are not eligible candidates for referral awards.

3. To be eligible for an award, the instructor applicant must list the referring employee on the initial online application. Referrals made after the online application is submitted, are not eligible for an award.

4. The first employee to refer a candidate will be the only referring employee eligible for payment.

5. Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the instructor position will be considered.

6. All candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with Play-Well policies and procedures.

7. All information regarding the hiring decision will remain strictly confidential.

8. Any disputes or interpretations of the program will be handled through Human Resources.

9. If an applicant is hired as an instructional assistant and is later promoted to a training instructor, the bonus eligibility for the referring employee will begin once:

a) The employee completes their probationary period and becomes a lead instructor.

and

b) The lead instructor begins teaching for a second season (i.e. promoted in the summer, continues teaching in the fall.)

10. All referral awards will be paid to the referring employee within 30 days after the referred employee has completed their probationary period and becomes a lead instructor. If the referred employee does not successfully complete this probationary period, no referral award will be given.

11. If the employee who made the referral leaves Play-Well before requirement 10 (above) is met, we will pay out the $100 bonus after the termination date.
