10.14 Voting

Our company encourages employees to exercise their right to vote. If your work schedule and the location of your polling place will make it difficult for you to get to the polls before they close, you are entitled to take time off work, at the beginning or end of your shift, to cast your ballot. The amount of allowed time and whether it is paid or unpaid, depends on your state of residence. Your supervisor will inform you of this information at the time of your request.

Employees who will need to take time off work to vote must inform your supervisor at least one day in advance. You are expected to work with your supervisor to ensure that your absence doesn’t negatively impact company operations.

Employees who take paid time off to vote must supply your supervisor with proof that you actually voted. Your supervisor can tell you what types of proof of voting are acceptable.
